Planning permission granted for 7ha development

After many months and considerable hard work, we can now announce that we have successfully gained planning permission to develop 7ha of our farm land into:

  • A Composting and maturation pad, covering approximately 4ha
  • A reception building and an In-vessel composting facility capable of handling 30,000 tonnes of ABPR material
  • Conversation of the main agricultural building to accept dry recyclables including paper, card, plastic, cans and glass, for recycling
  • Storage area for sales of compost

Our Technology supplier for the In-vessel facility will be Covered Systems. Based in Suffolk, the company have built and currently run three similar facilities and it is their experience and knowledge that convinced us that they would be the best partner in this project.

While announcing the development Andrew Riddington also said, "I am extremely proud of my team to have achieved the planning permission. However if we found that part daunting, the next phase of putting it all into practise is to be a significant challenge - one I personally look forward to with relish". The estimated budget for this development is £2.75 million but once completed will offer the area of South Holland a state of the art recycling facility at a time when the need for recycling has never been greater.

We hope to have finished and commissioned the facility by the summer of 2008.
